In those zombie movies why don't the zombies actually attack each other also what keeps them from not attacking each other and only non zombies also animals. I don’t know but I’m just bored and curious.

I've always wondered how zombies can walk up stairs. They have trouble getting around doors, so why arn't steps ever mentioned as a zombie deterrent?

Thats the human part of them that remains after infection. They still have a will to survive together collectively and unite against the enemy much in the way we all would unite together if ailens tried to take us over.

Most animals can walk up steps. It doesn't take any thought to walk up steps. A door is slightly different, besides in zombie movies they usually lock doors.

As for zombies only liking humans, its just like how animals usually only hunt certain other animals. Instincts. Don't you know that when you become a zombie you get zombie instincts.

they have to feed on living flesh, human or not...in the second dawn of the dead a couple zombies bite the heads off some mice and another is seen eating earthworms...lol

That’s a good question and I really have no answer for that. The assumption could be made that they don’t attack each other because they are all the walking "undead". They are animated walking and talking cadavers. So they would have no interest in consuming, dead, rotting flesh. That’s one plausible explanation. I also think they would go after live animals.

But now are we ONLY speaking of Hollywood zombies or the real deal down in Haiti and other parts of the world? That is all together another issue.

That’s true. They are rather lethargic and slow paced. Although there was that zombie flick out fairly recently and it appeared on the trailers at least that they were a little faster. They showed them sprinting. Other than them cornering you or by virtue of sheer number, they seemed pretty easy to out maneuver.

indeed, also they always crave for human brains. its pretty much the idea for EVERY zombie flick. its not too hard to follow now.

I understand about the "live flesh" precedent. They would not be interested in consuming dead, rotting flesh. However, why would they not eat live animals then? Or at least make an attempt to pursue them to eat? Besides, I think you are off there because someone had mentioned a zombie film in which they were eating live animals as well as humans. That at least adheres to an element of continuity.

yeah, they eat live animals as well, only, its not really mentioned. some movies might state it but most of the time they're chashing after hu-mans!

once agian, a very simple concept to follow. nothing scientific of superficial about it...just simple "fresh flesh" concept.

Well I don’t think it’s mentioned as much as visually depicted. They were eating dogs or something or other. They are also very slow of course so for them to capture and bring down a fast moving animal would be virtually impossible. Generally they can only capture humans by cornering them or by their sheer volume and ability to out number. So perhaps this is the reason they "can" eat live animals but then normally don’t. It would require too much effort and the movie goers want to be shocked and grossed out so seeing them devour humans is more gruesome.

You do realize that "zombies" actually exist? In countries such as Haiti, they can use kurari and various other concoctions to render a human "lifeless". It isn’t limited to Haiti either but the most research on the topic has been documented there.
