How important is appearance?

Appearance? Not very. Attraction? Very.

well it depends....i mean youd be attracted to someone you see who takes
good care of themself...as to the one who doesnt....

I think appearance is important to the extant that you are clean and you
look good. I just think now a days it gets taken way overboard

i think itsn all ...is a lot!..bcause if see it of this way..men first
look the aparience bady....so...

I thnk that appearance is only skin deep. But why do people base so much
on appearance? There are wonderful, amazing people out there that are
overlooked because their no considered "beautiful".

Different people attach different levels of significance to it -- some
people, all they want is someone who looks good. Other people have
different priorities. Depends on what's important to the individual.

I think appearance is very important. The appearance of things and
people just are.

eye of the beholder kind of thing.
you want someone who is a reflection of you, your values, your
beliefs... or what you believe to be a reflection of you.

with that said, there are many types of beauty, be it physical,
emotional, chrismatic or intellectual, or even historical.

when a majority of people agree on what beauty is, it tends to set the
standard. ie victorial secret models, ferraris, picasos, musicians, etc.

but hey, tom bosley was the sexiest man of the year, so it's not all
just physical.

it also tends to come and go with the latest fades... if 'grunge' is
'in', then appearance doesn't matter does it.... i guess the question
is... does appearance matter to you?

just some thoughts.

appearance says a lot about a person!!

sadly it is..
someone who is good looking but rotten to the core will easier find
someone than if they arent as attractive and very nice

ever seen an unattractive anchor woman on the news? unfortunately,
people get into relationships based on looks without looking at the
whole picture...looks don't last forever, hence, the relationship goes
in the toilet....as for me, i may not be as good as i once was, but i'm
as good once, as i ever was...lol

Initial attraction I like good looking.Have turned down some good
looking girls because of bad attitude tho.

Appearance is certainly a factor in attraction, but by that I don't mean
beauty. I have always been overweight, learned to dress decent; ie.
very few tee shirts, loose pants, belt to hold pants up (NO plumbers
crack), stand/sit up straight, work extra at being clean & decent. If
the overall package looks good, minor things can be overlooked.

So I am still not thin & studly, but my attitude carries over that.
Think about it.

It is important, but to me as long as you do not have
three eyes or extremely overweight- I much prefer a guy
that is confident, romantic, and a gentleman!

THEN THERE IS THAT OLD SAYING.......

" BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP....AND UGLY IS TO THE BONE."

LOOK AS GOOD AS YOU CAN, WITH WHAT GOD GAVE YOU TO WORK WITH, BUT BE
MORE BEAUTIFUL FROM WITH IN.

I finrly beleive that the best way to do it is to be physically
attracted first then mentally. It helps the realationship last

I have met some beautiful people in my dance called life. Sadly they
were just UGLY to the bone INSIDE. To me it all begins with the heart
and a dynamite sense of humor.

I don't focus on looks. I focus on the personality. It is all about
personality. A person with a good personality, can be the most appealing
person, whereas, if they are gorgeous, and lack a personality, they
become ugly when they open their mouth.

Ummm What's wrong with having a 3rd eye? People tell me it doesn't show
much...
Seriously, initial looks are ok, but its what's inside a person that
matters the most. Most people just don't take the time to look deeper
than the outside. One of my favorite sayings is: Don't judge a book by
its cover, you never know what you'll find inside!
