I may not understand your question - I think you are asking how to
permanently change the default fonts for your web browser (as opposed to your desktop). The answer depends on which browser you are using. (Firefox rules) If you are using Firefox 2.0.0.2, select "Tools" on the menu bar, go down to "Options". At the top of the new window, select "Content", half way down you'll see "Fonts and Colors" and to the right, "Advanced" - select the advanced button. Look for the check box called "Allow pages to choose their own fonts..." It will probably already be checked, you want to *uncheck* this box. Then, you can do whatever you want with the three numbers to the right, but you will probably be happy just giving a "minimum font size'. |

Wait, do you want to make your print *smaller*? Then you definitely
don't want to use the minimum font option. You know you can also (in firefox) just press "Control" and hit the "-" (minus key, to right of zero) and it will make all the the fonts on the page smaller - its not permanent, but its so fast and easy. |

Gina,
I wonder if your screen is being used at maximum resolution. Its rare for someone to want to permanently make the default font *smaller* on a modern monitor at max res. If you increase the resolution settings for your screen, everything will become smaller - and sharper. (Then you can make fonts bigger, if you need to). You can experiment with this (assuming you are on windows XP) by right clicking on the desktop, select "properties", then the tab labelled "Settings." To the lower left, you see "Screen resolution." I would slide this all the way over to the right - maximum resolution, and see how that works for you. |

In IE if you click the View menu then click on font size does then on a
smaller size does it help if so you may just have to go to the help menu inside IE and search to change font size default. If changing it in your browser as above does not help I would choose a different home page as the author of that one is probably either really new to design or very young and inexperienced. |
