when your very good friends fall into hard times. and they have to start selling things to stay a float. do you buy their things from them or just give them money to help them thru the hard times?

I would just let them barrow some cash, then help them sell some of their not important items..

ouch...depends on if you really want there stuff lol...no, but i would have to say that if you had money to spare and felt like they deserved it then i would give them what i could...just me though

Anonymously give them $ -- it would save their pride and help them at the same time?! Tough call ... you certainly don't want them to feel patronized, but you want them to know you care.

Just give, or be like a modified pawn shop...buy their stuff and then give it back to them for free

if I'm in a situation where I have extra money, I just give them money. I would feel bad buying their stuff from them

If you could afford to give, then I would give Imagine the hurt/stress of selling their belongings? That they probably dont really want to sell, but have no other choice.

I cant speak for everyone else... but i'm too proud to accept "help". I'd rather a friend buy my stuff with the option to buy it back when I got up on my feet

My friend was going to hock his gold lighter but he offered it to me instead. Later he bought it back for the same amount.
