I dont know....some kids were raised with the dont speak unless your spoken to rule.....myself it just depends on my mood.....I can be very outgoing if I so choose!!!!

I used to get picked on a lot as a kid, think more then that though, is my lack of self confidence and in the fact that my relationships have never gone well. Only had one serious one that amounted to much, but that's been about it. Lot of one sided feelings, or something happened causing things to not work. Might be a bit gun shy because of that.

It's possible but not always the case. There can be many factors as to why someone is shy.
