Ok I have a couple of people on my MSN that must have installed
something into their messenger because every time they log in now a auto
link pops up. Well my friend clicked on it not thinking cause she has
trusted links from them before (we have the same contacts on our lists)
and never had a problem. Well she clicked on it and now has a Trojan. I
mean this link even looks like a genuine MSN link. Has anybody else seen
this and does anybody know how to remove this type of virus?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

I would say that she probably has to take her computer in to get it
wiped off. I have always taken my computer in when i have had viruses.
Sorry that she got one.

And, just a word of advice for yourself, maybe don't open anything like
that. Could happen to you as well.

Hopefully it all works out for her. That's all I can help with, Whisper.

need to know the name of the virus
but trendmicro's housecall is a good free online scanner and removal
tool if it cannot get it for you it will tell you what steps to take

The trendmicro link that FedMan gave is excellent - i've used it over a
dozen times to fix the computers of people hadn't install virus
software. If you have trouble with trendmicro, you can also consider
downloading a free trial of AVG, at http://www.grisoft.com
