he should make it mandatory that a concessions permitted to sell at his events follow what he stands for if he can not do this with his campain how the h*ll is he gonig to do it for the hole nation obama is losing credibility on a regular basis no excuses he is responsible no doubt about it if he is not responsible then will he also not be responsible for what his people do if he gets elected excuses excuses there is no excuse pure case of bad leadership WOW Talk about blowing things wayyyyy out of proportion! It was a freaking T-shirt. Should all vendors now be investigated by the politicians to show that all of their products are American made? Give me a break! thats ok remeber this if he gets elected and then does not come through on his word yes the article in question was a t-shirt but the point at hand is his word if a mans word is no good then you know what else is no good and people wonder why the country is screwed up

Almost all their makeup is now made by underpaid, underage children in some foreign country! (slave labor?) If you are so concerned about it, Vote Obama and put a leader in the White House who has US workers Union support!

Personally I was a HUGE fan of Clinton, Obama sadly was my last choice for Democrat candidate. However, the T-shirt drama will not sway me away from voting for Obama. I know how chaotic it is to organize college level campaigning let alone a presidential election. There are thousands of supporters from each city that do not even work directly with the candidate or meet him until the day he arrives. But can you not see the very irony of it all? I thought it was a total oxymoron and worth bringing attention to. Did anyone read the article below or just read what I wrote? I thought it was kinda funny & upbeat (not bashing) esp. the "Ratt T-shirt"

I joke a lot (with both parties)...kinda funny, Im in the college democrats and friends with the president of the college republicans. Get us together at a party and give us a few beers...talk about amusement.

I doubt Obama has anything to do with where his T-shirts are made I really don't care where Obama gets his shirts made. There are a lot of more important issues, like FISA. Unfortunately, Obama went along with most of the rest of the Democrats and voted for the legislation giving immunity to the telecom companies and more warrantless wiretapping privileges to the President. After all, the Dems can't be seen as weak on terror, can they? Damn Democrats!

The probability is that the would-be president is not doing so because the items will cost more money and that would mean less money for the Obama campaign. And that is another indication Barack is not sincere .... he is all about winning the presidency .... not about American and its people.

If what you are saying is true, then a vedor can come into a campaign function and sell anything he wants and the candidate cannot do anything about it. So, in other words, if I were a vendor I could go into an Obama function and sell John McCain T-shirts. It would seem to me that even if the vendor keeps all of the profits/proceeds, the candidate would have something to say about the merchandise. According to you, a vendor has a blank ticket to sell anything he wants at any candidate's function.

These vendors show up at every event like this political and nonpolitical They are VENDORS. They have a VENDORS LISCENSE. They sell whatever they can to earn a living. PRIVATE VENDORS The same people that make and sell t-shirts in booths at flea markets and shopping mallsThey sell whatever the people will buy Now do you understand?? This topic is a non starter.
