---|---|
Today i just got more federal money offered to me for school 5 grand a
yr plus a 1000 dollar base ball scholarship.... the bad thing is the school costs 25 grand. I got another 5 grand comin from federal aid too. But thats still alot to pay. I got a college up the street that is only 5 grand a semester. Would u go for the cheaper school or go for the expensive school in this situation... tryin to get opinons i know its my own choice its just a hard one to make. I was already supose to start college 2 other times but didnt due to certain circumstances. Definatly startin in september. |

If you are interested in the quality of your education, then you will be
educated at either school. If you think that Ball is where your future is, either playing or in a related field, then you have to believe in yourself enough to believe, that you will make those big bucks one day and that school loan will be a drop in the bucket. Personally, I have found that, while all else can be taken from you, including your health, NO ONE can ever take what's in your head. THAT, and a piece of paper from ANY college will make you a decent living. |

Humm you could do like my daughter did go to the cheaper college get all
your basics first ones that will transfer then when you are ready in mind and money then advance to the college you want to go to don't get so far in depth that it is not worth it you keep your GPA up and that is what matters the most. You just have to aply yourself. |

Good Luck. As long as you end up with that paper in hand buddy, that's
where the real power is. In the end, it doesn't matter where it's from. It's crazy but here I am getting 30 year old high school transcripts to go back to school so that when I come out, I have a piece of paper to tell employers that I can to the jobs I've been doing for the last 18 years. The requirements for the jobs I'm qualified for, that I've been doing all require a degree. incredible - tell us your school stories when you start, that ought to be fun. |

Bud, you'd most likely get more one on one learning at the Cheaper
school, as far as Academics goes, they're all the same. The info in one's going to be the same stuff. |

If you are talented in baseball then there will be a chance for you to
get discovered! Keep playing....BUT......don't sacrafice your degree just to pay for a brandname school. Dane1973 is correct, the academics are the same. Make the money you are being offered work for you! I paid for my undergraduate degree working my butt off semester by semester. Then I earned my graduate degree as a single parent the exact same way. People look to see you have a degree first, it's less important where you got it because you will sell YOURSELF in an interview. The degree will help you get the interview!!!!!!!!! This is only my opinion. Good luck with your decision |

i say... beleive in yourself follow your dream.. for if u dont it will
never happen..there are grants and student loans also if needed to u for making the right decision for yourslef |

I go to a Community College and get $4,500 a semester in my pocket and
only go to school 2 days a week and do Automotive side jobs on my days off. You can get a degree at a community College so it all depends on your goals. A Community College is more money in your pocket. |

yeh im goin for computer science engineering boring sounding i know but

Cheaper degree is a wiser way to go. The LAST thing you want to do is be
looking for a job when you have a $15,000 debt growing faster than your pay raises. Someone else suggested transferring classes to a university. There are two things to know about that - first, not all credits will transfer (not suprising, in the end, college is a business), and secondly, you'll will have NO admissions trouble! You wont have to go through the vetting process that college freshmen have to deal with. This can be a huge advantage if your highschool grades are "lackluster" as mine were. After 2 years of community college, I was admitted effortlessly into Rutgers. |

you can also transfer to a university online after 2 years at a
Community College and double your finacial aid and work. As far as finacial Aid goes remember one thing even if you get $20,000 in debt thats no more that a new car but you'll have an education so it's worth every penny and you can defer your repayment for 10 years it's a total win situation if you work it right. Good luck. |
