chec your court system, I know here you can go to the library and print the papers, and file yourself at the courts house for very little money....and you can also find attorneys that will wait to be paid, normally if you file...they pay...just a couple of options....good luck I was going to say this, too. Get the papers in front of him!! I lived with this crap with my ex, too. So, I took the bull by the horn and got it DONE!!

That is how me and my ex did it. No lawyers, which saves you a ton of money. We walked through our house and split things up by doing the, "I want to keep that, if you don't mind."...and it actually worked. we didn't have anything... he was in school and we were struggling financially.... all we need is the filing fees....WE KNOW ALL THIS!

all i wanted to do was vent..... and i get advice i already had long before divorce was in question.... I'm sorry. I understand about just wanting to vent. You wanted to be heard, not lectured or told what to do. I hate when I just need to vent and get everybody's shoulda woulda coulda's. So, I definitely hear you.

ok so i need to vent a little... my soon to be ex is lying to me again! last week he said he had the papers printed and ready to go and now he is saying he doesn't have them! what is the deal?! its either one or the other.... he has no reason to lie to me anymore.... golly.... i feel like choking the poor man. i have always had to stay on him about papers and deadlines in general.... glad i am not in that relationship anymore!!!! i'm tired of playing his momma..... He could just be repeating what a wishy-washy lawyer told him...... its been known to (ahem) happen....

well since i first posted, i have been fortunate in emailing back and forth with him about the divorce.... he says he is currently printing the papers and will fill them out tonight.

ummm...why don't you file the papers...then you can be rid of him great minds think alike...tis what I did... again i can't because i don't have the funds and he does...... besides he did me wrong and he owes it to me to pay for it. then go with him on a day and you both get it done.... thats what i did ...
