Yes. 4yrs. It took prolly three attempts at getting back together, and three brake-ups.
And I won't lie. You still have those days where the heartbrake feels fresh, but you move on. I promis.

I've finally gotten over my ex after 5 years. I never thought I could for a few of those years. She is the only person I have ever ... anything with. First love, first kiss, the ONLY one! We were together for 6 years, but fate intervened and destroyed it all...
  Finding someone else I liked on here has helped, even though I may have lost out on her, but I'm still hopeful...

Hate to say it while I'm looking for a new someone but I'm still struggling a bit with my last ex. Like alterego said, she was my everything

Took about a year, and it was tough. But lately, as we have tried to maintain a friendship, she has been a b*tch.....so now I know I am totally over her cause her crap (she use to pull this all the time) has no effect on me.

with a girl for 2 years then went away to college i donno if it was the distance that helped so much or maybe just football all day for the first 3 weeks during camp but i got over her pretty quick. i still thin about her sometimes but it doesnt hurt n e more
