you can also make a cake from cookie dough...woot woot! What?! I would imagine the inside wouldn't be the same since you add ingredients to the cake mix, which gives it that texture. I couldn't see how that could work in reverse. Hey! Don't you ever sleep? |

You can also make mini-cakes out of crushed cookies in an Easy Bake Oven.

and if you sprinkle some grass into the cake mix you get "Space Cakes"
So, I have been told, anyway |

You can also use ice cream cones (the flat bottom ones) and put them in muffin cups - fill the cones about 1/2 full and bake about 20 minutes (I think), has been awhile. But when they are done the cake is up about the top of the cone and then frost and you have an edible cupcake in a cone. Kids love them and they are easy. No muffin liners to mess with or grease, etc. Can drop a cube of cream cheese in the middle of the mix before baking if you want, or a spoonful of jam or pie filling to give them a different flavor.
Just some ideas. Take care. |

Since you brought up ice cream cones, Marie....another good use for them, efficient and novel.....
The next time you are at a gathering with a lot of children....arm yourself with the tools to make instant pudding in flavors of your choice and scoop it into ice cream cones. Do not make the cones ahead, they do become soggy. Saves on dishes, and kids (and adults) love it.....SS |
