when you want to start a "new" relationship. do you normally go with the idea that because you had one before you are wiser now and will know how to handle the next one? do we really get wiser? does it work?

wiser?..hmm, hopefully..."those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it"...then again, different person, different situation..what worked before may not work for the next and vice-versa..

A definition of insane is to do the same thing over and over expecting different results .. so ya .. we'd better learn

I do my best to learn from my mistakes. I try to change so that I don't repeat them. I don't think that means I know how to handle the next relationship. I'm probably not much wiser. and I'm single so can't say that it's working either. |

i dont know if Im wiser because of my past relationships...
but I know a lot more about what i want in my future..so i think that affects what i want out of a relationship...idk though. |

All I know is, I realy need to smarten up...........fast. I'm tired of this crap. Trusting, only to find out I was wrong to do so........AGAIN.

I am recently off of a 4+ year relationship and let me tell you I am really good at picking out from a crowd which guys to definatly stay away from. I went out last weekend for the first time in over a year and I was able to pick the not so good guys out of the room. There was confimation made that I was correct. So I would say that you do learn something in whom to choose from previous relationships.
