damn furnace went out at 11 last night. I went outside and shovelled snow around 3 am so I could warm up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. It's true folks... I swear it's true.

I'm sitting by the fire now, but I feel alone

I look around but nobody is there,I feel alone

I watch the glowing embers

The smoke is drifting upward in the still air

No stars out tonight, I feel alone

A distant memory of scratching the girl behind the ear fades

I look down but she's not there, I feel alone

I blow on the embers but I fear their time has come

Guess I'll just finish my beer and go home

I know as I walk down the trail my thoughts will follow me

I'm not that alone after all

that's so sad but beautiful

** Runs past the camp fire kicks barely warm logs to try and RESTART ...grabs a few ICE COLD ones and runs into ALL DAY meeting ... hopefully tide me over til we are done **

Lets get this party started....It's Friday and the fire needs to burn real bright so that we can bring all the campfire people back...

My regrets are wasted as the view is always shocking, and repellent

It offers a vision of destructive ignorance

A vision of lust

A vision of wilderness lost.....

Mankind has brutally devastated the eco systems of the world

With all his varied waste

Now, outside life is virtually impossible,except for the most parasitic of life forms

Even little children, to young to appreciate natural beauty, comprehend the folly that has led to this

Yet being a man of age and experience....

I can still see the brilliant colors of seasons past

The true pungent smell of a pine tree on a cold and crisp morning lingers

But the sounds of this vast wilderness are what I recall best

They are with me always

They echo in my soul

Those thing that nature offered so freely and in such abundance

I remember....

And I can dream........
