Topic: QURAN AND THE BIBLE | |

Could the Quran and the Bible bo off the same teachings but with different stories only.
Could as some believe that Mohammed was the last prophet to walk the Earth and was sending a final message of what we should believe in? Do Christians believe in Mohammed as a prophet as Muslims believed in Jesus. |

Christ stopped time..no other has achieved such a thing..I personally think that Muslims needed something as great as Christ and came up with their own version of the Messiah because they could never accept a Jewish savior..so yeah its all good

Jesus is actually the second ranked prophet of Allah.
He is obviously after Mohammed (pbuh) But Jesus is nothing more than a man |

True...the Jewish religion still awaits the coming of the Messiah and do not believe it is Christ, however, Christ is Jewish from a Jewish bloodline and Muslims and Jews have an inherent hate for each other. Muhammed saw a good thing and brought a scattered people together...brilliant! |

He is obviously after Mohammed (pbuh) But Jesus is nothing more than a man I thought Christ was crucified shortly before Mohammud became a prophet..oops my bad..what is (pbuh)? Belief in all of the Prophets and Messengers of God is a fundamental article of faith in Islam. Thus, believing in Prophets Adam, Jesus, Moses, and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them) is a requirement for anyone who calls him or herself a Muslim. A person claiming to be a Muslim who, for instance, denies the Messengership of Jesus, is not considered a Muslim. According to Islam, Allah lifted Jesus up to be with him. He did not die on the cross, he was not resurrected. pbuh is the traditional way that muslims address their prophets. it stands for "peace and blessings be upon him" |

Thankyou for that, Belushi..a question for you..i noticed that the Quran demands death for all those who do not believe in the Muslim tradition..perhaps i am lost in the english translation..what are your thoughts on that? The reason I am not going to answer that is that I dont actually know the muslim perspective on this - yet! I live in Egypt and will ask an Imam today at prayers. I could guess .... The Koran denies the Christian concept of the Trinity. More than that, it denies the divinity of Christ. Its position is that Jesus was just another human, a prophet, a good man. Because the divinity of Christ is such a core teaching of Christianity, one that underlies so many other teachings (such as that of redemption through the blood of Christ), the Koran, in essence, calls the teachings of Jesus and the early Christian apostles a lie. Most of the main teachings of Christianity are predicated on the claims of Jesus, his claim to be the son of God, of divine nature. The Koranic stance denies this claim and amounts to a denial of all Christian teaching and belief. Jesus clearly claimed divinity. So what do we have here? Six hundred years after the time of Christ an angel supposedly manifested himself to Mohammed and told him that Jesus was not the Son of God and claims to this effect were a lie. Since, according to the account of the Christian apostles, Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, it is obvious that someone was indeed lying --- the angel, Mohammed, Jesus or the early Christian apostles. There is lie and fraudulence everywhere in every religion (IMO). So, I am guessing that due to its anti-other Abrahamic religious stances, Islam means Christians and Jews. It doesnt mention any of the Far Eastern religions. But, as I said, I dont have a muslim perspective on this, but I will have this afternoon. ![]() |

Do Christians believe in Mohammed as a prophet as Muslims believed in Jesus. If you read both of them, you will see alot of similarity. |

WHAT WISDOM DOES NOT FIND THAT ITSELF BE A FOOL....... IS NOT A FOOL ONE THAT ALWAYS FEEL GREAT LOVE, AND THEN OTHERS PROCLAIM WISDOM FOR THIS ONE...... THIS STATE IS RAN FROM BY THE HEART, BY A MIND THAT SEEKS TO NEVER BE MADE TO FEEL AS A FOOL, AS THE PAIN IS AT FIRST GREAT, BUT THERE COME NO FEELING OF LOVE UNTIL PASSED THRU...... EVEN THE GREATEST OF WOMEN WILL FOLLOW A FOOL, AS THIS ONE CAN SEE HE IS WRONG, AND GREAT LOVE THEN IS "ALLOWED" TO EMIT FROM HER HEART, AND FOREVER FRIENDSHIP OVER LOVE SEEKING IS BORN..... IF ANY SEEK WISDOM IT WILL ALWAYS ELUDE....... WHEN ONE COME TO THE END OF SEEKING ANYTHING, THEN ALL PEACE COME IN AN INSTANT |

IF THERE BE CHILDREN, THEN THERE BE NEED FOR BILLIONS OF SONS AND DAUGHTERS, AS ALL WERE EVEN CALLED LATER IN TEXT....... GOD WAS SAID TO BE "ANYTHING THAT A MAN "CANNOT" CREATE THRU HUAMN EFFORT"...........MEN AROUND JESUS THAT "THOUGHT" HE WAS GOD CALLED HIM AS SUCH.......HE NEVER SAID HE WAS......HE SAID HE WAS A SON ONLY, JUST AS EACH HUMAN MAN BORN, AND IF EACH BE UNIQUE, AS ONE SEES IF THEY LOOK AROUND, THEN ALL ARE "A FIRST BEGOTTEN ONE" OR TOTALLY "ONE OF A KIND".......PEACE |
