Hi slowhand...you look familiar too and just as hottt as I remember. i am doing great...sorta lol.
Okay my questions will probably sound stupid because I know very little and am trying to learn as quickly as possible... Icing the puck means???? A hat trick is?????? Is fighting still encouraged in the games? |

Don't worry about it, we all have topics we don't know much about, you're not stupid because you don't know something that others might. The ones that know, only know cause they follow it more and are familiar with the game, etc. So you're not stupid for knowing something you aren't familiar with. It'd be like me saying I was stupid for not knowing anything about makeup or something, you know what I mean?
Anyway to answer your questions.. 1. Icing the puck occurs when one team dumps the puck into their opponents side of the ice, to the point where it passes the red line on either side of the goaltender, and hits the wall. It can't occur during a power play though, as far as the team a man short doing it that is. 2. Hat trick is where a player scores 3 goals during the course of a game. 3. Fighting really isn't encouraged these days at least by the league anyway, though of course it still does happen. It's sort of become a finesse game again like it used to be. I might add BTW, in other leagues outside the NHL (college included), players can actually be suspended and kicked out of games for fighting, unlike the NHL most of the time. Hope that helps! |
