I have really lite skin, so it's hard for me to find a light pink eye shadow that actually shows. Up close, it looks a little sparkly, but far away you can't tell I'm even wearing eye shadow. Is there a certain amount I should put on? Is there a certain darkened shade of pink I should be wearing?

Try wearing 2 different shades, one on the lid and one above it

wet your eye shadow and it will go on a little darker and last longer... use a paint brush to put it on (like one a little kid would use to paint those paint by numbers books).

I wish I could help you but I don't really wear that much make up. I use bare minerals and I know they have eye shadow. I get mine on QVC.

Mary Kay has a pretty one...don't remember the exact name, but it looks good...AVON has some too.

Put a lighter shade on the lid itself and a darker shade just above it to highlight

Try wearing 2 different shades, one on the lid and one above it I've thought about doing that, and not just with pink either. I'm not experienced enough with blending (or even putting the stuff on, lol). I will definetely do that one of these days. Thank you |

You can always call a local Avon rep or other cosmetic rep, have them come to your home with samples and help you decide what looks best for you.

I got the Dream Matte Mouse from Maybelline thinking that the powder stuff I had was just not thick enough. I got almost the same result. Except with the powdery stuff, it actually looked white on me. Thank you for the advice |

If the pinks you are using wont show up, the lighter in the lid and darker works well, but you have to have the right colors. Having a Avon rep come and make you up and help you pick out the right colors helps a lot. You can also go into JC Penny's or most big dept stores and they will do it too.
I personally think that if the shades you are using don't compliment your skin tone, dont use pink. Use a very light maroon or some powdered blush. Use a dry make up brush you can get at any place they sell cosmetics, use the lighter one on the lid and the darker one on the eye ridge. Dont color too close to the eye brow and you can even use the light color just under the brow to highlight the darker color |

Picking Shadows for Fair Skin
There is no standard for color selection. If you have skin with pink undertones you would be safe to use pastel light colors. Here are some color combination suggestions: Light pink shadows all over with gray or charcoal in the outer corners. Lavender shadows all over with dark purple in the outer corners and/or half way in the crease of your eye. Use silver shadow all over with dark gray or charcoal in your crease and/or outer corners of the eye. Light pinks all over with a shade darker on your lower lid and burgundy in the outer corners. You will be able to open up your eye if you use lighter colors on the lid, especially at the top of your eye! |
