Topic: the silence falls all around (poem) | |
---|---|
The silence falls all around.
It reaches the ground, Where nothing is found. It is a deserted place, Which has lost its face And has become a disgrace. The ground is neither cold nor warm. Now it has no form, Which has become the norm. There is no wind here Or even a breeze near. Not a speck of sand can steer. Darkness in mourning slips down In its blackest gown To hide in its depths—forever—what once was a town. (Feel free to applaud or to point out deficiencies and things that could be improved upon. Criticisms are welcome since that is the only way to improve writing.) afro |

good poem, has good rhythm and symbology. I think it resembles that conformity and societal whims become nothing.
