Hi Mikey, had to say that on here. Glad you are almost back to normal. Pics can be redone, but always love that sunset scene.

It was good, went to Iowa to help clean up flood damage, thought we would be there till today, but there was only so much we could do, it is HORRIBLE there!!!

the flood in Iowa, many towns lost EVERYTHING they own, the water in some places was chin deep I guess, not a whole lot of anything salvagible left, the 2 houses we helped with had a foot of mud on the first floor!!!

Did anybody notice the freezeframe on the welcome thread. People have posted since Mike did but it still shows he was last to post. This program is whacky this week.

Guess there are little gimlins running around stirring things up. Very weird.

Mike, glad you were able to go up and help do what you could. I cannot imagine what these people are going through. I just pray they make it through this. Good comes out of everything bad, and I sure hope they can get some help so they can get their lives back to normal. It is horrible. Our prayers are with them.

Also with those in California who need some rain. Those fires are terrible. I believe if everyone prayed more it would make this world a better place. God bless all those in need and all those giving their assistance.

Ya, its terrible, we had to get tetnus shots becuse of the chance of getting cut, there was sewage, garbage and oil mixed in the water!!!

Echoing Rozey, that's awful. Good news, though, on the tetanus, they're good for 5 years (maybe 10, I can't remember). It was a good thing you did Mikey

President bush was there a week ago and promised help but we all know how F E M A helped the Katrina victims, dont we!!!

When Hallam, Neb. was destroyed by tornadoes 4 years ago, I had friends that lived there and they lost everthing!!! People came from different towns and states to help. so we were just paying it foreward, 3 couples we were with were from Hallam and they had also been to New orleans to help there 2 years ago!!

Yep, and I know they are still rebuilding there too. At my former church in South Carolina, some of them went to Louisiana and helped and I seen some of the pictures and heard the stories. I need to write and find out the progress. This couple at church made several trips there to help and introduced us to families who lost everything, and they were trying to clean the house, but if they could, they should just tear them down and build a new house but that isn't possible of course and very sad. They were in the neighborhood where Fats Domino lived at. People are very helpful.
