Sorry to hear what you are going through. He flaked out, huh? The one who loses out most is the child. It breaks my heart to hear about these situations because my ex did the same to his first child. We tried for almost a year to get pregnant, after being together for 13 years. We ended up conceiving through IVF/ICSI about 9 years ago. Two embryos transferred. He left two months later, right around the time we learned the embryos had "taken". He never looked back, became a deadbeat, if it wasn't for the courts. My son has suffered terribly from the absence.
