Just hunting in the wrong places, or you need bigger diamonds for bait!

So.....are you gonna tell us the story or leave us hanging? noway noway noway noway noway

Well, I wasn't gonna. But, ok. When I was small, I was a foster kid. Had to go outside to play during the day (not like now when kids stay in with tv all day). I was outside one day and saw this beautiful pink butterfly. There was a ravine that our road looped around and I wasn't suppose to go in there. But, this butterfly flew down there and so I followed it. The ravine was muddy and overgrown with weeds and briars and stuff and I got all dirty and lost and I lost track of the butterfly. I was really afraid and started to cry. I had scratches all over and lost one of my shoes. I knew I was going to get into big time trouble. Anyway, I heard my foster mom calling my name and then looked up and saw the butterfly again. I followed the butterfly back out of the ravine. It was like the butterfly knew I was lost and was trying to help me. Anyway, as I got to the top of the ravine I saw my foster mom and she was livid. She saw me come out of the ravine in a mess. I tried to tell her why I went down into the ravine and she kept telling me there was no excuse to go down there at all, but I was also lying. I kept telling her I wasn't and that I would show her. But, I didnt see the beutterlfy. I got the beating of my life for going down in that ravine and lying about that damn butterfly! And the spanking didn't hurt near as bad as her not believing me! This is all true and shouldnnt still bug me but it does. I would like to know if there really is a pink butterfly. I was sooo sure as a kid....but people keep telling me there isn't..one of the great mysteries huh

No, this was pink...not pale pink but PINK..and was big like a butterfly. How can you see something so clearly as a child that doesn't exist? Maybe it is a moth, but a large one. But, to a kid a moth would be a butterfly...she swore I was lying.

Could possibly have been the cinnabar moth...but the one I seen was larger and had much deeper coloring and If I remember correctly had black edging.
