I need to vent a little...so, my boss has been out of town for two weeks...I decided to clean his office....he is a 46 yr old bachelor that is a DR....he is always asking me to tidy his office for him, so I did not think it would be a problem...I spent 5 hours on it today...I am worn out...he parades into the offince at 230pm and goes nuts because I cleaned it...said he would not be able to find anything...so, I told him he would never have to worry about me touching his sh*t again, and do not ever ask me to "tidy" upi for him ever....so, who was in the wrong...be honest..I have on my big girl panties today..I can handle it.....

I think what you did was a nice gesture but if he didn't ask you to do it this time... maybe you should have left it alone.
|

you should not have done it while he was away.......even if he had asked before.........JMO

|

Not if he asked for it....

so, I should apologize??? i would say yes.......but it also depends on your boss and how well you like your job......if he is an azz then no......tell him to f*ck off and walk out the door |

so, I should apologize??? |

I agree with my heart aches maybe not the best idea to do it while he was away. On the other hand sounds like it was not a reason to throw a hissy fit over he is a 30 something yr old educated man

im a clean freak by nature....i used to clean my boss's desk all the time...just had to tell him where things were thats all..we were more like friends sometimes so he never got bothered by it.hed just ask where this n that were.
it all depends on how you two clash with eachother, and how sensitive he is with his stuff and work papers.. |

so, I should apologize??? well, actually I was kind of rude...but I guess you have to know more of the situation...he is rude to me all the time...we have this love/hate relationship going on...and I think what pisses me off the most is I let it get to me...I even shed a few tears...WTF? |

He's the butthole in this. Let him calm down and he had better be forthcoming with an apology. If not, stand your ground and never ever touch his crap again!!

I think its a bit of both, I work for a man who does the same thing, husband and wife actually, every time they are out of the office, we clean their office, he tells us to, but there is a method to the madness, i have been to my boss's house, he has an office at home thats the same way, in disarray. They say they want it clean, but what they mean is they just want to add to the "busy' work list in hopes you wont actually get to it. It was nice of you to clean the office, but if you stay there, just do what we do, clean up around his "organized' mess. Its just a compulsive man thing. But you shouldnt get upset about it cause he just had an impulse reaction, he just wasnt sure how to react to the gesture, cause though he asked, i really dont think he wanted it.
