Unseen
Growth is a labor unseen, until the fruit is born. Frustration has fruit, sometimes, bitter sweet. Beautiful on the outside, sour instead of sweet, pithy instead of firm and fleshy, even perhaps seedy, holding the sweet succulence close to the seed pocket, unnoticeable until it is cut open or pulled apart. Love should not be watched with such scrutiny as to bare frustration, to bear frustration. Love grows even in the dark and heart's eyes closed. Love can also grow, in frustration, a souls' soil of challenge yielding its fruit. Love? Raine Les 6/18/2008 |
