Part of the situation is that we tend to see others how we want to see them, not as who they actually are.

That's exactly how my ex boyfriend was. When we first started dating he was amazing. He was so sweet and caring. Probably the most amazing guy I had ever met-and then after a few months, he completly changed. It seemed like he cared more about himself than anyone else. He started using me and abusing me, taking me for granted, he would talk down to me, and make me feel worthless. I definitely did not recognize the person he had become.

maybe they are not the only one that has changed though....we all change as the months and years to by....

exactly why i say live together first...then get married (if you're so inclined). you never know someone until you live with them.

I don't think people really change all that much, they just show you a different side to them, what they're willing to and what they want to show you changes over time. |
