DISCO DAZE
The haze hanging in mid air, The beat of the music in your ear, The jingle of a tambourine somewhere. People of all shapes, all kinds, Come here, all of one mind. To twist and twirl and wind. Yes, the disco generation. The thrills, the elation, Of that Saturday night vacation. The games we all play, The words we never say, The night ending without delay. The egos that refuse to bend, The hearts that will never mend, The dancing never ends. Dancing to the disco beat, In winters cold and summers heat, The people that you chance to meet. Walking and talking through the social maze, The natural high of the dancing craze, These; were the disco daze. |
