On a farm far from town
A vegetable garden could be found
Filled with digging sounds
From Bunnies living under ground
In all colors White, Orange, Black & Brown
With tunnels both long & round
Some go up some go down
Leaving piles of dirt above ground
Proud of their homes below ground
With plenty of vegetables to be found
Eating from sun up to sun down
Till bunny bellies touch the ground
Only one threat could be found
When above ground
Listen carefully for the sound
Of the farmers hound
Keeping low to the ground
Ears up & listening all around
A tactic practiced by both Bunny & hound
Fear of being found
By either Bunny or hound
Trying their darnedest to make no sound
And be heard by anything around
At the end of the day
After hours of play
The bunnies could be found
Fast asleep below ground
Tired from all the fun they found
On a farm far from town
