Topic: Only A Child | |

He's only thirteen
Yet he walks and talks like hes twenty-one He doesn't care what we think of him Respect is non-existent I've seen the way he looks at her It makes my blood boil Is he serious? She's only thirteen He made her dinner last night Not a big deal I suppose Still he makes me nervous She's still a child Full of innocence So pure... Every time they're together I fear it may change He runs with older boys Belts are against his religion And I guess he hasn't noticed he's white He's only thirteen The path he's headed down will be a hard road to hoe As long as he doesn't take my sister I don't much care Shes still a child So full of innocence For now... |

Childhood innocence is so fleeting....
May your sister have what is hers for as long as she can keep it..... |
