I don't think that rings true. Prior to doing something, many people will talk smack and try to dissuade you throuh "psyching you out". But through the duration of any given situation, if you are actually doing it, "they" will usually watch in witness and not say it can not be done, because it is being done.


for example:

I have knowledge of a person who has stated that they can eat an entire 1956 Chevy Impala. We all said it can't be done.

As she ate the transmission we said "it cant't be done"

Chomping on the exhaust we said "can't be done"

Munching on the quarter panels we said "maybe this can be done"

I watched that woman inhale a muffler like nobodies business...AT THAT POINT...we all became silent. We wanted it to be done.
