Looks as far as being attracted to somebody physically is important as a first step. Beauty is what is inside though.

I have a theory on looks...: When we're all 60 years old we'll look the same. Over weight, covered in wrinkles, gray hair, the works. So...when I'm 60, I want to know that I can still stand to look at the man I married, can still have a good time with him, that he still makes me laugh, still makes me happy and that I do the same the for him. Looks fade and do not fully define who a person is, except that...those who are considered "unattractive" or "unpopular" as kids and teenagers tend to be sweeter, more earthbound, nicer and more caring than those who were at the top of the high school food chain.

I can be tired of things being based on looks, but it doesn't change the fact that I am ugly and have to work to gain attention of anyone I think is smart and witty that may have common intrests. They laugh at my jokes, they engage in meaningful conversation with me, but like Biz markie says, "but you say i'm just a friend"
Maybe right now that is what I need, but it has been that way most of my life. |
