Topic: Pre-Pre Season Superbowl Picks... | |
---|---|
They lost some good players after the season including their best defensive player in Samuel. The Patriots have 3 better players just on their DL in Wilfork, Warren and Seymour. They've added youth and speed to the defense and they will still score a ton. The unknown is the psychological hangover from the no so super bowl. |

I don't disagree that they'll be tough. I thought Samuel was so important because of his productivity with interceptions. Still, it's just a prediction--I might look foolish at the end of it all but it's fun to predict at least a bit. As for the hangover, I don't see how that plus Spygate won't have some impact. Tough as those guys are mentally (and who in the NFL isn't at least to some extent) that is a lot to carry.

Off da top of my head I want to say Colts vs Cowboys
But knowing the NFL it will be Raiders vs 49ers |

NFC:
COWBOYS: They are the best team in the NFC. But Romo has to step up his game in the playoffs for them to get their. The pieces are in place for them to get to the Super Bowl. Their is no doubt about that. REDSKINS: Laugh all you want, but now that Taylor is a Skin, this team got better. If Campbell steps up his QB play, and Portis stay healthy, then they can surprise this year. VIKINGS: Best O-Line is football with the most electrifying RB in the game. Oh, and that defense is much improved now that Allen is their. If Jackson can be consistent, then watch out. SAINTS: Brees, Bush, McCalister, Shockey and Colston. That offensive lineup looks dangerous, and if they do what we think they will, then this is going to be one of the most explosive offenses we have ever seen. It all starts with how healthy Bush and Deuce will be. Stay healthy, then this team is a Super Bowl contender. Not healthy, then they will struggle. Defense will be better than last years. AFC: PATRIOTS: Duh. Still the best team in football. But, teams started to figure out how to cover Moss, so I don't think he will have another awesome years like last year. Wes Welker should though, and Maroney should rack up some yards too. Defense is still awesome. But will losing Samuel show? Look for Thomas to have an awesome year. COLTS: Manning will post big numbers this year. O-Line is better. Addai will continue to fly under the radar when it come to what he does. Guy is solid. Defense should be better. And with Dungy at the helm, they are always a threat. JAGUARS: I seriously believe that had they got Taylor from Miami, we would all be saying how they are the team to take out the Pats. I still think they are, cause they have it all in place to do so. They just need someone to step up and be the go-to guy at WR. Other than that, I really like this team. BROWNS: If Anderson proves he wasn't a one hit wonder, and Lewis can repeat his 2007 form, then this is your surprise team in the AFC. Edwards and Winslow will be Pro-Bowl bound and that defense is better than you think. |

Go Cowboys. You were looking good last year, but I think you can do better. Romo, you can take them all the way if you just learn to relax.

Isn't that always the way? Oh well, preseason and regular season are two different sets of games. That's why they play the game.
Hope Brown can stay healthy this year. |
