A “Friend”

The world of honor and commitment,
loving someone with everything you are.
A very simple yet dangerous thing,
that most often will leave a scar.

They are your whole world,
where you put your faith and heart.
Love and trust in them without end,
they are your life, or the biggest part.

Loving them is a true joy,
they make you smile every single day.
Who else could make you this happy,
and yet so easily, take it away.

Then one day it comes to an end,
all your sacrifices that you’ve made.
You did everything you could,
but her love for you just seemed to fade.

She said that she was very lonely,
and just needed a “friend”.
Something turned to more than that,
evident by the letters they did send.

Was this the first and only time,
or were their others before.
Something I will never really know,
I can’t believe her anymore.

The aches and pain of it all,
will my broken heart ever mend.
Will my life ever get back to normal,
maybe all I need is a “friend”.

That is heartbreaking but is is very beautifully written

With time things always seems to get back were they need
to be but who is to say what normal really is. Just
give things time.
