I get asked this all the time by friends/family, usually the ones who've never been near a computer....How do ya know the person you're talking to on the internet is not an axe murderer, a fake or a perv. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes not. I've kind of developed a sense about folks.
So, how do you protect yourself and how do you ya know that person you're talking to is on the up-and-up? |

the fact is you dont know. i had the discussion with my doctor today, due to a incident.

honestly.. i don't.... i try to weed them out by wierd comments or things that they say that might not match up with others (aka lies ect) but for the most part i just meet in a public place and don't tell them crazy personal things about myself until i know they are at least "normal enough" to date

i think it's just intuition most of the time... mine kinna sucks. for instance, im thinking of playing with etrain on his ranch later...

I used to trust much more quickly than I do now since I was talking to a funny, nice man on a widowed site I go to. Turns out he is a registered sex offender. Guess I thought if Any site was safe it would have been that one.
