I just heard on the weather...that we are under a weather report that has the potential to be the worst day for tornadic activity this year...and even possibly in the history of oklahoma weather history. There are three different systems heading through Oklahoma as I type. The wind is out of the ordinary and we have been alerted that around 4 oclock to begin keeping a watchful eye. That these systems are going to be very bad. We have the potential to have even more tornados than ever before.
I am in prayer to be safe and to wish for no injuries and to have the weather calm down. These things scare me to no end. I have made my call to my sons to warn them. We are all on the same line of storms. From one end of the state to the other. Prayer warriors....please keep our state and our families in your prayers. Kat |

yeah, I am familiar with tornados...but this thing is building into something a bit different.
Indiana got hit the other day as well. I always feel bad when I hear of a state or community getting hit. It has been waaaay worse this year for them than any I can remember. Kat |

I made it through the May 3rd and May 9th tornadoes here in Moore. I have those pics. It was traumatic. Houses all around us were destroyed. Neighborhoods, it was terrible. In one just across the street there was only one thing left standing...it was a safe room. There it stood all by its'self right in the middle of pure hell.

You folks in Kansas take care as well. I just saw where they are under the same tornado warnings. There are many tornado alerts there. Many counties.
Some system forming around us. Kat |

I misquoted what the weather advisors said. They said it could be from 4 til 8 thru midnight. Then the third one may move in.
The skys are looking bad. It is moving 60 miles an hour and the wind is gusting up to 70 and 75 miles an hour. Powerlines have come down in some counties. That sucks. The clouds are doing all sorts of things. There is a wall cloud to the west of us and....well.....actually it is all around us.Hmmmmmm........sooo, I just talk to you guys til the power goes off here, if it does. Just preparing for it. I just went outside and I have tree limbs in my yard. Damnit...more to clean up. Seems I never get the yard work done. Anyone believe what the bible tells us about this weather we have been having world wide? It seems to be right on. Kat |

Geeeee, I seem to be talking to myself?
When savage storms, devastating earthquakes, violent tsunamis or other weather-related catastrophes occur, mankind usually blames them on “Mother Nature.” Weathermen are quick to cite statistics of similar events that occurred 30, 60 or even 100 years ago. But what they often do not mention is that such events are becoming more frequent and more forceful. And the “experts” are seemingly in total ignorance of the fact that there is a Great God who ultimately controls natural events--who blesses nations that obey Him with “rain in its season” (Leviticus 26:4), and who can (and often will) punish a rebellious people with drought and famine (v. 19). Jesus Christ predicted that natural disasters would be one of the signs preceding His return to this earth as King of kings: “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences [disease epidemics], and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:7-8). Anyone? |

Anyone? I think verses like these have always been used to claim the end times, or the return of Jesus. Historically speaking, was there ever a time when Nations weren't rising against nation? In fact, in comparison to WWI and WWII the world is basically at peace. The major conflict right now being the stupidity that George W. Bush pretty much created single-handedly. And at one point even claimed that God told him to do it. As far as weather is concerned I think you'd be hard pressed to show that whether today is any more violent than it has ever been. For one thing, we simply don't have good weather information from the past. How would anyone know what the weather was like in Oaklahoma before the white man settled there? It could had been horrific and know one would know. I think also weather forecasts can often be blown out of proportion. I think they do that partly to protect themselves. If they say it might be horrible and it is, then they are in the clear as having given fair warning. But if they say it isn't likely to be bad, and it is, then everyone is up in arms that they didn't warn people enough. So the weather forecast people are between a rock and a hard place. It's in their interest to cry wolf. If nothing happens then they can just come back and say, "We were lucky the storms didn't develop as expected". They had predicted SEVERE tornado warnings in my area just a little while back, saying as many as a dozen or so very powerful tornados could come through our area. It turned out that only two were sighted and neither of them were all that bad. Although there was some damage done. I personally think it's a bit of a stretch to use these things as an indication that the end of the world is coming. Just my thoughts |

Well, we just got all comfy in the basement, and now the tornado warning has been cancelled.

Thank you James. To be honest our weather has only been historicaly recored for about 100 years. But, to be honest again; it is worse than anything I can remember. It seems it gets worse and worse every year. Look at all the floods and earthquakes and tornados and hurricaines that have pummeled our states, and other caountries. It is quite frankly; outrageous.
What causes the weather to become so violent? I sure don't know. But, it is happening. Kat |

Just a few miles from here there is a semi on its side. The wind blew it over. Out west of here it is hailing really bad and the wind is up to 70 miles an hour. Oh! I just saw where there is two semis blown over. And on the west side there are 20,000 something without electricity. I am about to cook so we don't have to worry about the electric. Take a shower as well.
There are electric lines down not too far from here. Causing them to shut down the streets. They are over roadways and highways. Wow, I just noticed I am giving a weather report. Stay tuned for further details.lol Kat |

((((Kat))))
Was our turn for tornados in Michigan today. I have been watching the weather for some time now. I believe it is getting worse all over. The US has made a new record for the number of tornados in one year, 2008 holds a new recorded record and summer has just begun. Scarey. May you all be safe out there. |
