Thanks Buddy, take care

Alert: "Action speaks louder than Words" an old saying but still very current and powerful in meanings.

Hey, Frank! You know, I agree with this premise, in principle, but there's one problem in this particular instance: "actions," per se, do not translate well to a written medium. I mean, you could be saving the whales and finding a cure for cancer and solving global warming and finding the real killer for OJ, but none of those actions would mean a thing to the other 500 million people behind their screens unless/until someone told them about it. Or maybe if you were doing that stuff on webcam; but I doubt if that would work very well.

Please avoid big profiles, big wordings and jargons, when you comes up for writing about your profiles, remember 'Short and Sweet wins the race, 'a wise man quoted this somewhere, than here, LOL.

Oh no, my profile is enormous, and heavily littered with verbal superfluousness. I like it that way, weeds out (most of) the illiterates and such. Basically, it's intended to weed out almost everybody, but it hasn't quite accomplished that -- and I think that's more of a "some people just don't bother to read profiles at all" scenario than it is a "people are reading it and writing to me anyway out of spite or sheer incomprehension."

Short and Sweet may win the race, but I'm not racing anybody for anything at the moment. Look, people don't have to read it, nobody is putting a gun up to anyone's head (Just Say Bang?), and I don't particularly care either way. My profile amuses me and a small group of friends, and that's good enough for me.

*Should know well, who you are?
*Make sure what you are looking for?
*Always expect less to get more::wink: laugh flowerforyou

Right, but for me, I can't really do a good self-summary in three sentences. It's more complicated than that, or I'd like to believe it is, anyway.

You're right about the expectations -- this is a thing I have learned through time and experience -- and I no longer really have any expectations of people I encounter on the internet. Some of them are undoubtedly great people in real life, and there are some I wish I could meet in person, just to spend some time with in order to get to know more about them. But it's probably never going to happen, and I'm OK with that.

Once a man came to 'William Shakespeare' and ask him, 'Sir William, Is there any scale 1-10 to weigh people. 'William Shakespeare smiles and nodded, yes, as soon as people open thier
mouth for speaking. laugh flowerforyou

Which is exactly the reason I would prefer longer profiles. The more someone writes (or speaks), the better you can discern things about that person. More information, in my opinion, is always better than less. Most of the time, unfortunately, that new information is going to impact negatively on your perception of that person -- that's been a general rule in my experience -- but better to know the realities now, and avoid getting too wrapped up with someone who, as it (eventually) turns out, is entirely incompatible.

The rest is in your hands. I showed you a little direction here:wink: flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

GOOD LUCK TO ALL TO THIER SEARCH!flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

Thank you, Frank! I always enjoy seeing your words of wisdom here, even when people are wondering about that one picture you use!
