It seems likely that they do it to get "sympathy." I agree that it is a big red flag to a relationship. I am certain that at one time or another we have all been "mis-used and abused" by a member of the opposite sex. Dwelling upon it and advertising it just makes us appear shallow and bitter. JMAO
the other ones are those ladies who do not want "players," and have 7893 men on their friends lists...

I don't really think most intend to bash or generalize, just vent, and it just comes out that way. I agree, venting in your first post probably isn't a good way to start out.
The fact that the broken-hearted are even posting at all is an indication that their spirits aren't completely broken and they still have room in their hearts for someone who will treat it with kindness.
