I gaze at the shadow,
Watch as it changes with every move I make, every step I take. Its mother is me, Its father, light. Yin and Yang in harmony I stare at its obedience, similar to that of a trained pup Always at my heels. I bask in the warm sun, as we harmonize and make this sillhouette. It has always been with me, one step ahead, or one step behind No matter how alone It grazes others who give it no second thought, or even a first But I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, I am truly lucky for this dark companion. |
