I remember you in your blue suit,

three years old with sad brown eyes, blond hair with a cowlick over on eye. Christmas trees, and Santa Claus, rocking horse, red wagon and laughter. I remember that laughter, raucous, a mirror of my own. I remember, three brothers, one sister playing in the yard. I remember, three brothers, one sister carrying the coffin. Graduation with honors, red roses and your wedding I remember that last day. You told your wife you wanted to go home. For the life of a child, I remember. ~Rev. Barbara M. |
