As promised...
Ode to a Tadpole He couldnt walk like an Egyptian; he couldnt talk like an Egyptian or do the sand dance. He wouldnt brush his teeth, make a bed or put on pants (eek!) He is a legend of a tadpole because hes been gone for a while; he went on an expedition across the lazy Nile. Tad was a mighty little swimmer, a mighty swimmer was he; he was the terror of mosquitoes but sore afraid of feet. Many close brushes with danger in the rushes made Tad a bit haggard, if you could catch sight. He learned swim so well that every current he could fight. He is a legend of a tadpole because hes been gone for a while; the last twas seen of mighty Tad was guiding a crocodile. |
