“Kaitlynn”

That day I held you in my arms so tight.
For the first time life seemed so right.
There has never been a feeling.
Since then that was so appealing.

Just to look deep within your eyes.
It was better then any stars in the skies.
Big and brown oh how they sparkled.
They made my eyes tear up as I bawled.

Just like a baby so happy you were here.
As I held you in my arms so near.
I cried the first time I saw you crawl.
When you tried to stand and took your first fall.

It was not before long you started to walk.
Then before I knew it you started to talk.
Each time I saw your tiny face.
All I wanted to do is hold you in my embrace.

Just to hear your laughter and see your smile.
It has made me see that life is so worthwhile.
There is no greater joy to behold.
Your kisses and hugs are worth there weight in gold.

The greatest gift in life is love from a child.
It will make your heart go wild.
It is something to do with there little hands as they touch.
You’re arm and without a thought say Ganny I love you so much.

That is the purest of love.
Surely it was sent from above.
Just to know how blessed I’m with you.
And your love that is so true.

There was no question from the very start.
And no doubt you captured my heart.
You see Kaitlynn it is true.
With all my heart I love you.

By the way Kaitlynn is my Grand baby. I say baby but she is growing up so fast she turned 5 this last Jan.

So true Kristi and a beautiful tribute and adorable little girl. I feel the same about my 4 month granddaughter Trinity. To experience such true love with children is priceless and it can brighten even the darkest day. She's lucky to have such a wonderful granny.

Granny, Nana, Grandmother, call you what you will, but there is no better love, that can be fulfilled. She is a darling little thing. Beautiful poem for her.

Thanks all for reading was thinking about her last nite well I always think about her. But.....she is coming over this afternoon to spend the nite with me. Got up at 7am this morning went and bought her a pool and new bathing suit ect..yesterday and started filling it up lmao so it would be ready when she gets here. She is Ganny"s heart.
