Why is it that they think they are always right....and why is it that WE
don't know anything, so they think |
|
|
|
because when we're teenagers we go through that stage in life when we
want to be independent, and in doing so we want to feel independent. Hence the arrogance and needing to be right 24/7 |
|
|
|
its a denial stage in our lives where we want to be right, but we know
deep inside its wrong. we feel the need to break away from our parents, but as we get older like i am now the parental bond is stronger then ever. we go back to then because we find out how important parents are to us, and how useless we are with out them. |

Don't worry NY, they eventually come around. My oldest son told me he
was amazed at how smart I got when he turned 25. Woody |

nyc seems kids are no different than we were at teenagers in thinking
that they are right. however seems they have learned to be more sassy about it. |

omg yes to all, thank you....
some times i don't know if it was the fact that iw as like that and i have to pay for what i did in life or is that we, all parents have to face that |

Maybe we all wanted our kids to have a better kife than we did. So we
allow them to do things we weren't allowed to. Thus by the time they are teens, they seem out of control by expecting even more freedoms. I was seperated from my son (divorce) for several years. When he came to liv w/stepmom & I, we told him we would talk about anthing & everything. Kept conversation #1 & it really worked. So my answer is get them talking, nontalking is not allowed. |

Open and honest conversation, I agree with that. I have two a daughter
and a son. Open conversation is the way to go. While my daughter and I had our arguments, but when it came to the major points she knew we could tak about anything. |

i am trying that, i hope it works. Thank you.

you went threw the same thing when you were are age- did you or did you
not? and when my child is a teen ill be frustrated as well but just imangin what your parents went threw with you! we all learn grow old and change into more reaspetfull people but untill then your stuck- its a learning prosses we all went threw. more you challeged your parentes in your teenage day it time the more your own teenage children will act up... it's a pain but its reality- it will be over soon keep your head up high and just reamber it will be over soon- they'll be out on their own and have children and there children will give them trouble just like they gave you and then you can sit back and laugh- pay back is overwellming - vanessa |
