When you spread like... butter, jelly, chocolate paste, honey or whatever on a sandwich, do you do that with one side of the knife's blade, or with both? And why?

both, because i work in restaurants and when spreading anything you save time be being able to use both sides, instead of having to dip the blade multiple times...

Both sides because I stick the knife into the jar and move it around a bit then spread. Afterwards if peanut butter I will take my finger and wipe it off the blade then lick my finger. Mmmm.
