Topic: Do you think Opra Winfrey is dangerous? | |
---|---|
No I do not consider it "dangerous", she is keeping her religion be it whatever it is, to herself. Nothing wrong with that. I don't think public figures have to cater to the religious or the non religious. Keeping it private is a good move as far as I can see. Political leaders really need to keep it to themselves because religion has no place in the government. on the contrary she is not keeping it to her self she is decieving millions of impressionable minds.God help us if we dont realise the damage that she is doing ,how many ppl she is brain washing with her occultic belief.its time we look with a descerning eye and see it for what it reALLY IS . Now why would you describe her belief as "occultic?" (Which by the way is not even a real word.) Nobody complained about her when when she claimed to be a Christian. This is typical of Christians to assume that they are right and everybody else is wrong or "dangerous." The only "damage" she is doing is to Christianity, which is an unprovable illogical superstitious cult in its own right. Christianity only pretends to tolerate other belief systems. They only pretend to understand that people are allowed to live and believe the way they choose. They only pretend they believe in FREEDOM OF RELIGION. But when someone looks like they might actually make a dent in the numbers of their churches, their religion, they call it "dangerous." Get used to it. Enlightenment is on the rise. The truth will be known. ... and it isn't Christianity. JB Hey don't knock us christians. She has a point of view, I don't agree with it but I am not saying she is dangerous or shouldn't be entitled to is, so JB watch who you are lumping into a group, you don't want me calling all of the people who follow your faith satanic ritualists with dangerous tendancies do you? Granted, not all Christians are going to attack Oprah. Many will join her. If it looks like I lumped all Christians together in my post I apologize. Many Christian leaders will probably voice the opinion that Oprah is somehow dangerous to Christianity. But not all of them. I will rephrase that it is a typical reaction.... for some, not all Christians. you don't want me calling all of the people who follow your faith satanic ritualists with dangerous tendancies do you?
Why would you? I don't know what "faith" you are referring to. Do you? I have no people following me. What "faith" are you talking about? My personal beliefs are mine, I only have one member in my "Church". ... Me. Can I join your church JB?? Do you think it's possible to fall in love with a jester at first site? you are one smexy jester Mr. |

There is no such thing as having been once a christian. Nope. Cause it is impossible to become UNBORN, once a christian is born again. And by the way, that is the ONLY true definition of the word ,christian ...a christian is one who is born again. So Maybe Oprah once only had head knowledge of Christ(churchianity), but certainly not heart knowledge. Btw.....we have to remember....We Christians fight not against flesh and blood...but against principalities and powers and the darkness of the air.... ..but also, we have to remember ..... we Christians have been given authority in Jesus Name ,to bind these spirits off people's lives, and off nations, and off the world.... and win people to Christ. The world is the way it is, cause the world just doesn't know any better. Lets PRAY for the Lost..... and Let's LOVE the lost.... instead of COMPLAINING about the lost......and Let's BIND and CAST OUT lying and decieving spirts off the lost........and God will do the rest. Amen? See..it's us Chrstians that need to wake up and realize it is time to stop playing church...orplaying patty cake with the devil ...time to walk in the authority God gave us as Christians to walk in.......and TAKE BACK what the devil has STOLEN......including our Loved Ones..and the ones who walk in darkness......and win the peoope who are perishing.....back to the Lord!!! Amen. Your "binding and casting out" is nothing more than common witchcraft. I don't think "you Christians" (as you say) have any authority in anyone's name to cast binding spells. But you did just demonstrate and prove the occult nature of your religion. Thank you. JB (And they have the nerve to call me a witch.) geeeze |

It hurt her when she started being wishy washer in her beliefs.....viewers stopped watching....ratings when down....and hence money also did. This is when oprah decided that she would say all gods, and protected herself from loosing anymore viewers as well as the money it was costing. I know I worked in this industry....No people watching = no ratings= no money.
If you remember the same happen when she made the comment about the beef.......This is when I lost all respect for her.....Because I believed she was a woman of her convictions. But the all mighty buck bought her out in the end. Like I said previously.....check out her first shows....she was a praying mighty Christian woman....then over the years it changed and changed and changed...... |

I don't think she has done anything to hurt anyone. JB |

Some cults like to claim famous people are members, but that does not make it true. So I am skeptical. |

Impressionable minds, like the five year old who go to Sunday School? Nothing like teaching a kid from the age of 5 that there is ONLY ONE TRUE RELIGION, but of course you can choose – what the heck is that about? Oprah, on the other hand, spoke with adults. I ask you which mind is more impressionable? Now why would you describe her belief as "occultic?" (Which by the way is not even a real word.)
I was gonna ask that, but since JB did I did something different (see above). BY THE NO ONE ANSERED THAT QUESTION YET Hey don't knock us christians. She has a point of view, I don't agree with it but I am not saying she is dangerous or shouldn't be entitled to is, so JB watch who you are lumping into a group, you don't want me calling all of the people who follow your faith satanic ritualists with dangerous tendancies do you?
I’m sorry that Christians are lumped into a less than reputable label. Perhaps you should listen to the message of Oprah! OPRAH uses her show to persue her own interests. Like Rosie O'Donnell, she should just stick to giving all her money & stuff away & leave real thought to others.
LOL- you have got to be kidding me – please I hope that was supposed to be funny! If not, who do you suppose should be doing the ‘thinking’ for you and others? OPRAH deceives many unsuspecting people. She promotes something & right away people jump on the band wagon... no matter that it's taking them right off the cliff. LOL I don't see the attraction but I did see her little manipulations a loooong time ago & stopped watching back then.
And you think the news; the Associated Press is not deceiving many unsuspecting people? So tell us, how do YOU get your news? Americans have really gotten dumb. She supports Obama & the whole nation jumps. That's how STUPID Americans have been...as reflected in their vote. they are dupped & don't know it.
Americans are so stupid 75% of them don’t even know, they DON’T elect the President. They didn’t JUST get dumb, and it wasn’t because of people like Oprah, it goes back quite a bit futher. I hope DEMS take over... we can then have a clean sweep in two years once people get a whiff of like under political correctness.
Nothing to do with the above quote, but just how do you thing you are different from the 75% of the American people? Seriously, what do you think makes YOU different? |

Feralcat:
Okay, I'll admit that it is only my theory that Oprah is a Scientologist. But the facts all match up if you look closely I would have to disagree with you about what she believes. Im pretty sure Oprah knows exactly what she believes in. Im pretty sure Oprah is in touch with her own beliefs. Anyone as smart and successful as Oprah knows exactly what she believes. So far, every celebrity that ive outed as a Scientologist has proven accurate. I'm practically a Scientologist Think of Scientology as the motherlode of all New Age religions Because it basically is. I stand by my theory that Oprah is a secret Scientologist just as many others are. |

Redykeulous,
I don't get any answers to my points or questions. Its like I'm talking to a wall or something. That is because they don't have any answers that make any sense except that they believe in the lord Jesus Christ and that they are "born again" and that us poor sinners who use our minds and think for ourselves could not possibly understand. It makes me glad to be me.... |

Okay granted I haven't been on here all that long and did not know you do not have an affiliation with a certain faith-based faction. I was just trying to let you know that I did not appreciate your wording as it did appear in my humble opinion to lump us all toghether. Second of all no I would not call anyone those names, I was merely using it for effect, but I believe that you have your beliefs and I have mine. I try to show tolerance, even though sometimes I slip up and at 23 I could learn a more about expressing my views a bit more diplomatically. |

Now, I enjoy the hell out of a good debate. Bring it on. JB |
