Alright so, it seems that these new released zombie horror films just plain ol suck, Why? becuase if you have seen 28 days later or 28 weeks later, and etc its the same **** over and over, hell even resident evil did blah in my opinion, but i wanted to know what you guys thought about the films being made now with zombies and such, and what they can do to improve this disappoitment sick

I don't watch a lot of new zombie films, but I thought Resident Evil was pretty bad-ass. At least the last one was. Dawn of the Dead was pretty great (The remake, I didn't care for the original). And that's really all I can think of. I don't really know what you can do to improve them. I guess put in a better story or just some really great action scenes. Something to really make the movie stick. And speaking of zombie films, I still need to see Night of the Living Dead.

I would imagine they will be doing 17 sequels of "Doom" now... sort of genetic zombie things that pop up every where like in a video game (oh, it was a video game... LOL)

Its almost like they made the movie in such a way that it had levels... so they could go back and make a video game just like the movie... etc... noway noway

I wasn't all that impressed with Doom... sort of like a cheap "Alien" rip-off movie... (and "Alien-Predator: Requiem"... just plain sucked...one of the worst movies of all time...) sad sad

A real funny zombie flick is a New Zealand-made movie called "Black Sheep"...

Genetically engineered zombie sheep are on the revolt... oh my god... I pissed myself...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0779982/

"Violence of the Lambs"... hahaha

or is it... bah-a-a-a-a...

I just picked up 28 Weeks Later a day or two ago, and I just didn't think it was particularly scary (save for a couple of "black cat" gags).

The overt use of CG took all of the suspense out, and the film just sort of plodded around with no real ending or payoff. And -coming from someone who does the REAL F/X (not that CG crap)- this is not a good thing.

dude it just seems to me that, argh.. compare the old movies to the new ones. what do you think we need? i think in my opinion we could use more REALISTIC blood, and i dunno a more BELIEVABLE storyline. yawn

I've often thought that horro flicks need to go to the next level and become X-rated movies... not because of sex scenes... but because they are so damn graphic it goes beyond the current R-rating...

R-rated movies are for pussies now... we need something more sensational and realistic... we are spoiled... we need death like Rome ... real gladiators or something... we are so damned bored... ha

I like old horror movies better, they had better scripts, better actors, and yeah the FX wasn't all that great, but you over looked it because Vincent Price was being a bad ass =)

Vincent Price is amazing. He's just so great at what he does.

i liked 28 days later and 28 weeks later...

but i agree with some of the old school horror movies really still rock! but some of it is really chessy too. like jason was kinda cheesy. Halloween and freddy are THE ALLTIME BESTEST!

Halloween was alright (or at least the 15 minutes I saw), but I couldn't stand any of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. I just didn't like them at all.

They don't really seem to want to make any good movies anymore. I guess they comanies don't think that we can handle anything that involves intellect. Though I also like bad horror movies. Night of the Living Dead, The Maddining, Dr. Giggles and 976 Evil are some of my favorites. Don't laugh.
