The Science Channel's coverage has been awsome so far, lots of interesting interviews, facts, animations and live coverage. I have one complaint. They keep sneaking in lame Billy Mays commercials!

They have an educational interaction too. That thing slowed to 5 mph, and then hit 0 velocity just above the ground while its legs extended, then touched the ground.

Im watching the live link at NASA TV.. I have it up too in another tab but there's no extras, so I'm switching over to NASA when the Science Channel announces that something interesting is going on. |

I've been fascinated by the space program since watching Gemini and Apollo missions in the 60's and 70's, but in 2008, I think $520M could buy alot of progress toward energy independence instead of ice on Mars. Still, if those solar panels open, it'll be a great achievement.
