Topic: My son -My soldier | |
---|---|
She watched her son get on the plane
to fly somewhere far away and as tears brimmed in her eyes she heared her fragile voice say God bless you son I will be here call when you get time and know that you will be each day in every prayer of mine.... the plane took off and her heart broke But pride also filled her heart because she knew his reasons to go Tho it hurt to be apart. He was a man -she'd done her job He was doing what he was called to do And with the help of God above They'd both somehow make it thru. My son is what he'll always be but a soldier he is now I have to hold admiration and love Tho its hard to watch the news somehow. Even to Hes serving us all and giving all hes got To see my son a soldier too Somedays takes more than alot So if you would as you kneel and pray remember my son too as hes out there in the sand fighting for me and you just say a few words and thank the Lord for keeping him safe and knowing that even though I am his mom My american pride is showing. Though I dont agree with the war itself I support these folks all the way for sacrificing all they do each and every day I know these colors do not run The red and whit and blue So on this day especially Ill stand tall with a salute to you... To all our service members and their families present , past and future. Thank you... Tressia copyright 2007 |

Thank you to all who serve, and those they left behind to wait and worry.

I have removed several posts from this thread. Just a reminder, constructive criticism is one thing, posts designed to bait an argument is totally another. |
