Topic: Doing things as a couple or family. | |
---|---|
Something that I have noticed about couples and couples with children is how they do things together. At times this makes me rethink the idea of staying single. I have noticed this in families which are disjointed or one parent with a child. At times it makes me wonder if the single lifestyle was all I hoped it to be. I was just wondering if others have had second thoughts on being confirmed batchelors and batchelorettes.

My friend at work had her daughter to come see her. She had to talk her daughter into letting me have this dog I have now. I invited her daughter over to pick the ticks off what is my dog now. Her daughter said no that it was my job to pick the ticks off now.

Children remind us of the love and wonder in the world. They are fun, funny, and the ultimate in reward. They are why my header says I believe in unicorns. (It is an abstract reference)
Being single or childless forever? The though gives me physical pains and chills. What you are missing out on is the feeling you are human, that you matter, and that you make a difference. |

I guess I should ask what are some of things you would like to do as a couple or family.

i work in an assisted living home and we have a few people who never married or had kids.Back in the day, women had to chose between career or family most times.(keep in mind median age is 82).The men are just confirmed batchelors for one reason or another but the sad part is they have no kids,no family of their own,no legacy.Granted sometimes my kids can be a pain in my behind but the trials and travails are worth it when you see them smile or you get that hug or little drawing.I mean I'm a nana!!wouldn't give it up for the world!!

My kids have kept me going through so many trials of being single.
Nothing like having a hard day and your kids come climb in your lap, give you a big hu, and tell you they love you. Makes all the BS of life worthwhile to keep them happy. |
