I'm crying as I write this...I just received some awful news...my
grandfather only has 6-12 months to live. He was diagnosed with emphysema late last year. I got to see him at christmas (my family lives in Illinois, I live in Texas). I don't know if I'll be able to see him before he goes This is another worry added to my many others...this is not good Any prayers are welcome |

I understand what you're goin through. I lost my grampa two years ago,
and couldn't go see him, he was in Cali, and I'm in Arkansas. I had to stay at the job cuz my mom was the manager and I was a supervisor, and we only had one more member of management, so I told my mom just to go and tell him I loved him. I think about him every time I go fishin, cuz that's one of the only pics I got of him was when I was little and we were fishin. It'll be hard. I'll pray for your strength and his health. Sometimes I still cry cuz I miss him so much. He was the only person who's been 100 % brutally honest with me, and I respected that more than anything. |

lil, just remember the good times that you had with him. i never got to
see my grandpa before he passed away from his second stroke, but i remember him as a healthy man who loved all of us grandkids and would spoil us when we went to see him. i remember all the good times and i don't have the memory of him being so sick. if you can't make it up there, find away of making sure that he knows you love him and that you wish you could be there to see him. call him often and send cards telling him that you love him. he'll appreciate these and he'll also know that you love him so very much. my prayers are with you and your grandpa. i pray that God gives you peace and the strength to handle what is going on. diane |

My prayers are with you and your family
My grandfather passed away due to problems from emphysema. Most of the time it is not the emphysema that gets them it is sometimes the smallest cold that will bring them down. My Dad also had emphysema for many years but it was not the emphysema that that he passed away from. So keep your head up and your prayers going for there is a fact that they can live many years with emphysema. (((((((HUGS)))))))) TO YA!!! |
