It is said (is this still valid anymore?) that girls will want to marry a man like their fathers because they have grown up loving their father and seeing what he does for her family and that they are a part of their dad and like him. So is it the same for guys? Do they want to marry a woman like their moms?

I'm pretty in tune with what I'm looking for and where my preferences lie and my mother doesn't have some of the more important qualities for which I seek. Don't get me wrong, my mother is awesome and I blame...er....credit her for where I am today.

Nope..I wanna find a guy thats the TOTAL opposite of my "dad"..he's a jerk who deserves to be..um..nevermind..almost got carried away there.

i had a great mom,,an after all my dad wasn't a bad guy himself,,,,,,i just didn't understand what he was saying most of th time,,,,,,,until i got older

Freud says so, but then again he also said that EVERYONE who works with clay is living out the childhood desire to play with their faeces. So yeah, I think he's mostly full of crap.

I'd never find anyone like my dad. and my sister and i have a pact, that if we ever act like our mom, we get a bucket of water poured on our head !!
