it can be so frustrating...
these children react to the world around them in a completely different way than we do. sometimes it's hard to understand how they see things...and we get angry. it also hurts, to miss that emotional connection. you expect a child to NEED you...and to show you that need. to want YOU, not time alone. any direct questions you have, if i do not know the answer...i will forward them to my mother. |

I have researched that they belive it is caused by vaccinations.
http://www.google.com/search?q=vaccinations+and+autism&btnG=Search&domains=proliberty.com&sitesearch=proliberty.com My close friends run The Idaho Observer http://www.proliberty.com/observer/ and are really up on autism and its cause. I put vaccines and autism in their search engine and came up with allot of information |

they say there is a link between higher autism rates and areas with
cable television but I don't know about all that because I grew up with one of those big ass satellite dishes that got everything, you know before video cypher2 scrambling and nobody in my family was adversly affected |

Hello Veronica25 and All,
I have a grand-sugar who is severly autistic. My daughter's daughter. She is such a darling child and we love her as you love any child. She is now 7 years old. She cannot speak and is still not potty trained. She can communicate when she wants too with actions, but not words. She can say "bye-bye" and wave after years and years of therapy. We have read all there is to read about autism and the research that has been done. Much more research is needed but understanding what your child needs should be the main focus of learning to deal with your autistic child. What kind of advice are you looking for, exactly? What are your questions? |

BIG HUGS!! my lil briches is autistic. Got the diagnosis when he was 3.
Instead of throwing him in a group home and walking away I brought him home and poured my entire essence into him. Early intervention is the big key here Veronica. Verbatimeb and i became very dear friends online and i am so glad to see other parents with autistic wee ones here. It gets so lonely being a stay at home mom. BUT! its an amazing journey! feel free to drop me a line. Today my lil britches talks, reads, writes, loves the computer, good eye contact and is now diagnosed with aspergers which is also within the realm. If i can be of any help or just a shoulder for you feel free to contact me. Many parents just like I WAS felt so overwhelmed at first and terrified. Now i see a whole new child!!! Give me a holler anytime! |
