If a Democrat gets in and closes tax loopholes that some wealthy people use to pay NO taxes, then I'm all for it. Good one. You didn't specify WHO would pay more taxes! ok, taxes will go up for middle, and wealthy americans with upper middle class shouldering more than the wealthy. They will not close the loopholes mn, they could do that now if they desired, they have control of the congress. Congress NOT the president passes legislation. Where is this valiant attempt that everyone is expecting. Well I guess we'll find out. I don't see much reform if McCain gets in either. And just because the Democrats have control of Congress doesn't mean they can get everything passed that they want to. There are still a lot of Republicans in Congress and if enough of them don't vote the same as the Democrats, the legislation doesn't go through. No to mention the President can veto it if he chooses. I understand that, but where is the effort sir? Legislation gets debated and put to a vote all the time in congress without hope of passing, but there has not even been a good faith showing. It couldn't have anything to do with election year, could it?

We will borrow billions from the chinese, and saudis and give this money to the american people so they can stimulate the economy while we run up more debt. People actually fell for this line of bs and think it is a great idea

You should read about Francisco Franco sometime. Nixon toasted this jackass because he was against the communist Soviet Union. Franco also was 'neutral' toward Nazi Germany, even though he sent troops to help them and fascist Italy against the Soviets.

it isn't my problem if someone does not desire to be more in life than a local clerk. entry level jobs are there for students to learn the work force, not support a family on. If you chose to not get an education, and better yourself that is your right, but I shouldnt have to pay you to do it. "earned income credit", it is nothing more than theft. they take money from me every year and force me to sponsor a family I have never met. Why is your plight my problem and vice versa? You live here the same as I. You use the roads the same as I do, and you use the public services just like me. If I get taxed 69% on my dollar, so should you. Nobody handed me anyhting, why should I be forced to hand it to someone else.. You know what that is called? It is called SOCIALISM This is one of my most major beefs. I pid in X and my sister paid in 1/4X. I got les than 1/4x back and she got 4x back. I want to know how she got four times what she put in back just because she had a kid. Why do I have to get punished financially for being single and then again because I choose not to have kids right now?
