Don't get me wrong, I agree a change needs to be done in order to facilitate the use of paper money (or else get rid of it completely) for the blind, but calling it discrimination? That's just plain stupidity.

i Have an uncle who in fact is blind all his money is done with a debit or credit card.

Hey discrimination is a GOOD thing depending on the category. The root word of discrimination is discrete--to use descretion it is to judge and be careful. I discriminate every day!

ok, I dont quite understand what you are saying here. Do you agree that it is discriminatory? or do you think it is something that should be changed, but is not in and of itself disriminatory?

Also, what does the use of money have to do with driving a car?

That's all this is, it's an excuse to further advocate for a cashless society. You see examples of this, when you see the commercials that make the guy reaching for cash or getting ready to write a check look like a embarrassed jack-off.

You see examples of it when Gas stations, Fast food joints, government offices all push for paying with cards and some even come complete with the little thumb scanners. Pretty soon, you'll hear the push for the RFID to have your banking info on it and if that goes through, we'll be in too deep to ever pull back out.

Nothing I was demonstrating the absurd by being absurd. I think it's foolish to change the currency to be blind friendly the driving a car was a type of "what's next" scenario.

I don't think it's discriminatory nor do I think it needs to be changed. Another form of progressivism. This is the kind of crap we have to deal with when we have a liberal congress.

Ok I can understand the comparison there. But why do you feel it would be "absurd" to change say the size of the money, like it is in other countries? It would allow more independance for the blind, it would speed up lines at a checkout counter where the blind has to wait and take their time making sure everythign is in the correct order and such. It would also help decrease the need for the blind to have to have a payee, in order to receive their monthly pay.

Hmm...very good point, how much more will it cost our government to change the currancy? And where are we to get the money? I'm not necisarilly against it at this point but I do not by any means think it is discrimination at this point.

Ok, it sounds like we pretty much agree hten, cause as I said in the beginning, it is not discrimination, imo anyway. However, I do feel that we should LOOK at changing it for what I stated above along with many other reasons.
